CTPs are Adult Education Institutions especially meant for those adults who want to learn Italian or achieve Diploma di Scuola Secondaria di I grado -ex Licenza Media- (Italian Middle School Certificate) in a friendly and supportive adult learning environment.
All courses are free of charge and students are not required to purchase texts or materials.
Everyone is welcome to enrol at CTP provided you are 16 years or older.
No qualifications are necessary. To enrol, present your completed enrolment
form
to the school together with your ID documents. An interview with the teachers will
be arranged, so as to find the most suitable course for you.
Italian language courses
The school year starts in October and ends in June. You can enrol any moment from
October to early May. Most lessons take place in the afternoon or early evening but there are also
morning classes. Courses are usually made up of three hours, i.e. two weekly lessons of 1.30'
each for an average amount of 30 hours. A certificate is issued to those students who have attended
at least 50% of the hours.
CTP's certificates (Level A2 and upwards) are recognized by the Italian Police Authorities
for the EC long-term Residence Permit.
CELI certificates
Foreigners can sit the internationally-recognized Perugia University CELI exams at our school.
These certificates allow students and adult immigrants to demonstrate their proficiency in Italian.
CELI certificates (Level A2 and upwards) are recognized by the Italian Police Authorities
for the EC long-term Residence Permit.
Diploma di Scuola Secondaria di I grado - ex Licenza Media
The subjects are: Italian, History and Geography, Maths e Science, I.T., English.
Skill recognition through interviews and entry tests allows for students to have previous
formal and informal study, work and life experience taken into account. This process determines
whether or not you are already competent in some of the subject areas or competences
covered in the course, so as to be granted a reduction in the amount of attendance hours.
Attendance hours and pathways are individualised.
Those who can attend regular classes have a choice between:
from Monday to Thursday.
On Friday extra hours can be scheduled for one-to-one remedial work and extra support or
in case you discontinue your course. Some remedial work can also be done
on line from home.
The school year starts in October and ends at the beginning of June.
The examinations take place twice a year: in February and around mid-June.
Enrolment is possible throughout the year.
Other courses available at CTP are General English
and I.T. courses.
They are free of charge for in-school students.
